Abinadi Flores:

Behind The Scenes Of El Matador Knives

My Story Begins in Mexico

Forged, not manufactured.

In the enchanting state of Sonora, I grew up immersed in the hustle and bustle of my family's grocery store, home to a thriving butcher shop. Working there shaped me, but it was the knives—sharp, reliable, and practical—that truly captured my attention. They transformed my work, especially when it came to my love for steak. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of slicing through a juicy cut with ease.

Over the years, I discovered many exceptional knife brands. Yet one moment changed everything: the day I held my first Damascus Steel blade. Its intricate patterns felt almost mystical, as if it carried the spirit of generations past. That knife ignited a dream—to share such craftsmanship with the world.

From that vision came El Matador Knives: not just another knife company, but a small business rooted in purpose. We’re dedicated to growth, creating opportunity, and celebrating the timeless art of blade-making.

Our current collection includes hand-selected knives from Pakistan, Mexico, and Spain, chosen for their quality and heritage. But the journey doesn’t end there. We’re continuously seeking distinctive blades from every corner of the globe—curating pieces that bring lasting value to our customers.

Whether you gift our knives, use them daily, or share them as a token of appreciation, we want El Matador Knives to become part of your story. More than tools—they’re memories in the making, cherished through moments around the table and beyond.

Join us in celebrating craft, community, and the edge that makes all the difference.
Let’s make every slice count.
